Succesful First Build & Connect Session at Wfront

Our first-ever 'Build & Connect' event, on May 6, 2026 at CometLab, was a success! A big thank you to the scientists, students, investors and experts who joined our workshop at CometLab / NL Space Campus.

We shared our journey, tools and equipment — and of course, our very own Ali Azadbakht.

No better way to understand our mission than by building an optical tweezer microscope piece by piece. It was hands‑on, chaotic in the best way, and genuinely fun.

Or, as somebody told us afterwards, "I've never experienced a workshop like this before". That made our day!

At Wfront, we support ambitious scientists with a one‑year grant to develop an innovative desktop tool that can become open source or grow into a startup: 1 year, 1 m³, 1 prototype.
